Strawberry Cherry Cream Smoothie

Three words everyone loves! Start your day off with this tasty treat packed full of antioxidants, potassium and vitamin C.

Love strawberries? Love Cherries? Mix these two tasty berries together and you’ve got a sweet and sour match made in heaven that looks as good as it tastes.

The beautiful lush red colors don’t just look pretty for pictures! The large amounts of flavonoids found in both berries (which gives them their beautiful vibrant color) give you a heaping dose of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits.

I like to add a bit of honey to appease my never-ending sweet tooth and toss in some coconut flakes to give it that hint of toasty, nutty goodness. Want it a little more zing to your breakfast? Toss in some diced pineapple and orange slices for a tropical twist!

Tip: If you’re using canned pineapple, drain the juices into an ice tray and freeze it. Use pineapple ice cubes in your water for a sweet twist or add them to our smoothies for extra flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup cherries
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp coconut flakes

Instructions

  1. Add strawberries, cherries, milk, coconut flakes and honey to blender

  2. Blend for 2 minutes or until desired consistency

  3. Top with fresh berries and coconut flakes if desired
